Hurricane Irma, one of the strongest hurricanes on record to sweep the Atlantic, is making its way over the Dominican Republic and towards our Alorica sites on the East Coast of the United States. And as Irma wreaks havoc, two new hurricanes, Jose and Katia, are forming.
As these storms develop, so do heart-warming stories of true Alorica heroes from all over the world as our team rallies behind their Alorica family affected by the destruction.
Genevieve Davis is one individual who stepped up to help her family at Alorica. Genevieve, from our Tucson East site, joined in a fund raising effort to help our Alorica family at our Texas sites. Genevieve gave from the heart by selflessly donating 100% of her overtime pay earned over the last two weeks to the MLBA Disaster Relief Fund.
“I know what it’s like to be in that situation, I was once homeless,” she shares, losing everything she had at the time to a flash flood.
Spending the last ten years working hard to put her own life back together again, her contribution is an amazing demonstration of generosity. Thank you Genevieve for being the definition of a loving and generous member of our family at Alorica.
You too can make a difference today – even if you are not part of an MLBA chapter to help – by donating to the MLBA Disaster Relief Fund with a credit card. Alorica employees can also contribute through payroll deductions here.
Already, MLBA has collected over $135,000 to help our Alorica family, and donations and service to our local communities are still in great need.
Look for additional updates and stories of our Alorica Hero’s. We hope for the safety of all impacted team members and their families.
