MLBA Named Finalist for PR Daily’s 2021 Nonprofit Communications Awards
MLBA has been named a finalist for PR Daily’s 2021 Nonprofit Communications Awards in the Corporate-Nonprofit Partnership category for our campaign Miles 4 MLBA. “PR Daily’s 2021 Nonprofit Communications Awards finalists represent the people, teams and organizations whose campaigns, partnerships and projects helped build awareness of or raise funds for important causes, initiatives, organizations and programs.”
With the world going virtual, we (and many other non-profits like us) found it harder to raise money. We could no longer have in-person fundraising events, so we had to get creative. We created a new campaign called Miles 4 MLBA that allowed Executive Leadership to virtually bike, walk or run to raise money. Employees were able to bet on which competitor would complete the most miles or pledge a certain dollar amount for each mile completed. Through this campaign, we raised over $37,000!
We are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners in late September and are very hopeful PR Daily will see the heart of MLBA and award our creativity in these trying times.
