When I heard about the MLBA chapter we had here at Alorica, I was so excited and heart-filled that a company would offer such a great program to help others in need. I, right away, looked to see where I could sign up to help. I recall my conversations I would have with my peers when we had fund raisers for our wonderful MLBA chapter such as, “you never know when you will be the one looking for help,” and “be a part of something bigger than yourself for a great cause!” I had never thought that the day would come that I needed this help as much as I told others. But, the situation came up where I was in a financial bind due to unexpected medical bills with my family. I came home one day to no lights, no power at all. Not knowing where to turn, I spoke with my site manager who asked me if I had applied for the MLBA assistance. Never once when I would volunteer was I whole heartedly thinking that I was investing in my own assistance program, but I came to realize that hey … this is me and I’m in a need of help! So, with a tissue to wipe my tears away, my site ops manager directed me to apply and I was approved! I got my power back on and was able to get back on track with bills all together. All because my MLBA chapter was there for me and my family! To this day, I vowed to continue to be a huge advocate of the MLBA chapters and am a walking talking testimony of what a wonderful program this is. Forever grateful!Priscilla Castro – San Antonio (Crosswinds), TX
I would like to give a huge shout out to MLBA. I was on the verge of having my electric and water cut off. I was hesitant to ask for help as it’s not something I do. I was desperate for the assistance and I reached out to MLBA. Two days later, I was presented with two checks to cover the utilities and prevent cut off. Without this help I am not sure where I would be right now. Thank you for all you do! I will continue to support my local Durant MLBA Chapter any chance I get. You never know when you might need the help yourself.Anonymous – Durant, OK
I have worked for Alorica Durant for just over a year. In that year, my family has faced more than our share of life’s obstacles. I have always believed in giving to great causes. I never thought I would have to be a recipient of that giving. The day came when our local chapter of MLBA was definitely a life saver. I had to miss work on multiple occasions to care for my dad’s medical issues and ultimately his passing. Missing the income caused stresses that were met with the much needed and appreciated compassion and financial assistance from our local MLBA chapter. This program and the work being done by the people involved, who also happen to be my co-workers, are more than just helpful. The program fills a place in my heart mere words can never compensate. I will continue to contribute and participate in as many ways possible to my MLBA chapter because I know the feeling of desperation in simple life issues resolved by my local chapter of MLBA. MLBA is not only Making Lives Better. To MLBA, LIVES MATTER!!!Anonymous – Durant, OK
About 3 weeks ago I was put in a situation that left me with no home, no money, and my 18-month-old daughter stranded, with no clue what to do or where to go. My mom refused to help me, but my friends wanted to help so they let me hop from couch to couch until I could find a place to go, That Friday, I went to work at Alorica (San Antonio, Woodway) and not to long after was told my car was going to be repossessed if I didn’t make the payment that was due, so I put in an application for MLBA assistance and about a week later was interviewed by Anne to see what they could help me with. I am happy to say they were able to assist me with paying the payment on my car and I am so grateful for it. Being able to swallow my pride and ask for help paid off and I want to thank everyone involved in making the decision to approve the assistance. I am still currently trying to find a place for me and my daughter to go, so everyone keep their fingers crossed!!Salleyna Mattison – San Antonio (Woodway), TX
I’m a pretty new employee with Alorica. I love the job and I’m glad I took the opportunity to become employed here. After my previous job, I got behind on my rent while adjusting to my new paydays. I needed help to catch up and MLBA came through for me when I needed it most. Now I feel better with that extra weight off my shoulders. Thank you, MLBA (Las Vegas South).Anonymous – Las Vegas (South), NV
After my son died unexpectedly, I took several days off work. There is nothing more horrible than losing your child no matter what age. I had 2 small checks coming and bills piling up. MLBA paid just over half of my rent which allowed me to focus on my family and get through the month. Thank you so much for everything you did. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.Billie Ward – Joplin, MO
I have been with Alorica for almost 2 years when I had to be hospitalized for 3 weeks and was without work and pay during this time, I was at the point of about to be evicted from the house that I was living in when I applied for a grant and was given enough to pay my rent and stay in the home.Rebecca Nichols – Huntsville, AL
I have worked for Lafayette Alorica since April of 2014. In December of 2016 I received both an eviction notice and a disconnect notice for the electric. I did not have enough funds to cover both so I applied for the MBLA program. MBLA agreed to pay the rent balance owed if I proved that I paid the electric. After making the payment to the electric I forwarded the receipt email to HR and MBLA paid the remaining rent on 12/15. Without this program I would have either been homeless or without electric. I have worked at many companies since I started working in 1991 and have never encountered a company that takes the time to aid their employees during hard times. Thank You Alorica and MBLA.Maureen Hubbard – Lafayette, IN
I am from Alorica Phoenix. I recently became a foster parent to 3 of my relatives and it required me to miss time from work to be able to assist them with their needs and appointments. During the Month of November, 3 out of my 5 children became very ill. So with the holidays approaching and bills piling up I had no clue how I was going to pay my rent. I didn’t want to be homeless for Christmas. Thanks to the MLBA they were able to assist me financially to ensure me and my children will be safe. I appreciate all the help that was given and cannot express how grateful I am to the MLBA.Anonymous – Phoenix, AZ
After losing my home in a fire I was not sure about a lot of things, the main one being where my family was going to end up. Thankfully, MLBA assisted us with getting into our new home, which has eased so much stress and worry from my mind. Now I can work on turning my new house into a home without worrying about what is going to happen. I feel very thankful and lucky that Durant MLBA was there to assist in my time of need.Anonymous – Durant, OK
I couldn’t be more thankful for MLBA and Alorica! After 8 years being married my spouse left and I became homeless for a short period. I found my job at Alorica and I was able to get an apartment for me and my son with a loan and with paying back that loan I couldn’t afford my second month rent. I was facing eviction just days away from happening to move. I heard about the program during my training and I had nothing to lose. They did everything they could to help me. I applied Monday and they worked very hard to help me and today, Wednesday, when they told me that I didn’t have to worry about losing my apartment I cried. I couldn’t be more thankful for MLBA and Alorica.Anonymous – Sherman, TX
I arrived in Sherman Texas on 08-15-17. The next day I started looking for a job and found Alorica as a potential employee and started working 08-28-17! A month later I started looking for housing. Every apartment was telling me that I had not been employed long enough and my income was not enough, At this point I had only a few weeks to find a home for my two boys and myself. I heard about MLBA from a coworker. I submitted my application and talked to the director. He stopped what he was doing and started giving me different options. The same day I received a call letting me know I was approved for an apartment. I paid the deposit and application fee, but could not afford the first month’s rent with the funds from my checks. That is when I talked to my supervisor, Dani and MLBA set up an emergency meeting that same day. When they came back to get me to tell me their decision, I was so nervous. They let me know that they are going to pay my first month’s rent for me, I felt so grateful. My boys and I finally got something good out of this world. My blessing from Sherman MLBA didn’t stop there, a member of the Sherman MLBA board, Baddog (who really isn’t bad at all) offered to give me things free of charge that my boys and I need. She and several other supervisors are helping me, even after they paid my rent! I am so thankful for Alorica. I will always put everything into my job. Thank you Sherman MLBA for everything!!!!!!Anonymous
I’ve recently became the legal guardian for my four-month old granddaughter. I’ve been working with an adoption lawyer which has led to pretty much depleting my bank account. I still have my other children to raise so taking an extra person in has been a bit overwhelming. I’m reached out to MLBA for some financial support. I am very thankful for the assistance. I could never thank MLBA enough. Thank you so much!Anonymous
I do not have the exact words to tell you how grateful I am for the help you gave me. Just a few days ago I felt like I was in a deep dark hole almost homeless and without hope but you, my trainer Karina and MLBA were the hands that took me out from there. I will do all in my power to help this association whenever you need. Thank you so much to all the people involved.”Anonymous
Thanks to the MLBA, I was able to get some medical equipment for myself that I wasn’t able to get or afford due to circumstances that arose from insurance being cancelled. I had recently been hospitalized and out of work for over 6 weeks and while out my insurance was retro cancelled all the way back to May, so now all the bills from the hospital stay, SNF stay and doctors are piling in, but was in need of a walker and a few other items. I don’t like to ask for any kind of assistance, but was in need and had to give in and thankful I did. I would like to thank the MLBA program for the assistance I received.Anonymous
The MLBA program has helped my family in a way I could never repay. It is not just about the money to me it is the fact that there was a team of people who cared about helping me and my family. It’s hard to set your pride aside and ask your place of business for help, but I am glad I did. My full amount of rent, groceries and other belongings were in my car the day it was stolen from my partner’s job. I explained my story over and over; even to the landlord of my apartments and no one was able or willing to help me. I am forever grateful for Alorica, I have never worked for a company that gives back to their employees as much as they do. This program helped my family and I know they are helping more families every day. I also donated here and there to the program but you don’t realize how much they do until it’s you that need the help. So I encourage everyone to donate like you may need the help one day.Anonymous
I had been without a car for 3 years and finally in Nov. of 2016 I bought a car. A used one but I loved it. last week the motor blew up and I was quoted 1000.00 for a new motor plus 500.00 for labor. There was no way that I was going be able to come up with this. So a co-worker suggested MLBA. I thought there is no way that they would give me that kind of money. I had 300.00 myself and the car lot I was buying it from was willing to work with me on some of it but not the entire amount. So I put in the application and MLBA came through. So now my car is waiting for a new motor to be placed in it and for it to be back home. This could not have happened without MLBA. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and soul. You guys are awesome.
I have been an employee at Alorica for 3 years and recently was in a rough situation and on the verge of losing my home for myself and my 3 kids. Thankfully, our wonderful MLBA Durant was able to help me out so that my kids and I were able to stay in our home. I am so thankful that we have such a wonderful organization and so blessed that I was able to receive their help. I’m forever grateful for everything they have done.Anonymous
I’m a single mother of three and the sole provider. On July 12th I went into the hospital with an abscess. On July 14th I end up having back surgery to remove the infection that went into my bloodstream I stayed in the hospital until July 21st. Since I am the sole provider I did not know how I was going to pay my rent, feed my kids and get them ready for the upcoming school year. I did file for short term disability but it does take time. My last check was only for $26 so I did get an eviction notice. Because of the help I received from the program I’m not homeless! This is a true Blessing and I will be paying it forward!Anonymous
I had very traumatic life changing incident. I would rather not relive the details. However, I was out of work due to this and needing recovery I was behind on bills. I was being told by other employees I should submit an application to MLBA for assistance. I was hesitant at first but eventually did. I was so surprised and more than grateful MLBA granted my request and helped me out tremendously. I could never thank the MLBA enough I am so proud to be a part of a company that says they will help and actually does. I cannot say thank you enough from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!!Anonymous
Back in May I was struggling to find a place to live. My fiancé had just gone back to a sober living home and I was couch surfing, I found out at the end of June that we were expecting and there I was still living on a friend’s couch. A friend of mine at Alorica had told me about a program they had called MLBA (Making Lives Better with Alorica). I filled out an application searched everywhere for a decent apartment complex got everything turned in and it got approved. I can honestly say that without the caring help of MLBA and what they do for their community I would still be homeless and pregnant. They are such a blessing for me and my little family. I have now currently lived in my apartment for 2 months the baby has their own room and my husband is coming home. So, thank you to MLBA Durant for doing such an amazing job and helping those who cannot get on their feet. You all are the real MVPs.Anonymous
MLBA Durant is so wonderful for helping me out! I am so appreciative of them. I have been part of the facilities team at Alorica Durant for 3 years. If it wasn’t for MLBA, I might have been out on the streets. I had a triple bypass and needed help due to missing work. Thank you so much!Anonymous
The title “Making Lives Better” could not be any more accurate. Coming from someone who does not like asking for assistance, MLBA really made the entire experience and situation better than I could have ever imagined. From the start, the individuals handling my request worked with compassion and diligence. They reacted quickly and you could tell that they really cared about their employees and helping people in general. I could not thank the MLBA enough for saving my home. I am especially thankful for the individuals who work day in and day out to make our workplace a fun and positive place to be and also for helping me, my family, and so many others!! Thank you times a million!Anonymous
I had recently bought myself a car. Since the first day I brought it home, there has been issue after issue with it. Finally, it quit on me. I was quoted around $800 to fix it. There was no way I could come up with that money plus continue paying the car payment and the rest of my bills. I was without a vehicle and depending on a not so dependable ride. I started coming in late for work, sometimes a few hours. When it was suggested that I speak to MLBA, my insecurities and anxiety instantly kicked in and I almost convinced myself not to even bother. With a few supportive words from co-workers, I sucked it up and filled out an application. Thank Goodness! The MLBA bought all the parts I needed for my vehicle and I am currently having a mechanic work on it. Thank You so so much, because of you, I can be independent again.Anonymous
I am so grateful for MLBA. Due to a series of an unfortunate events my family and I were evicted from our home the day after I got home from the hospital from giving birth to my son. We were living in a hotel. The entire situation was awful especially for my three young boys. I had heard about MLBA before and decided to apply for it so I could get the much needed help for a deposit on my new apartment. I was approved and able to move in just over a week later.Danielle Herrera
MLBA is a great program to have for employees that need assistance & I encourage everyone to make contributions whenever possible. You may take things for granted until you have lost & nowhere to turn for help. I realized that people do care and want to help. Pensacola has so many great members & I am thankful to share my gratitude. I now understand hardship more after I was unexpectedly hospitalized my manager submitted my application that helped me financially until I was able to return to work. THANK YOU PENSACOLA … Those Known & unknown angels in our mist…Keep it up!Consuelo Douglas
I have been with Alorica going on 3 years now. Thanksgiving night of 2016 my transmission went out on my car, at the time I was 4 months pregnant so I was already stressing on how I’m going to support my family let alone being stuck with no transportation to work at this point. I came into work the next week stressed working long hours of overtime trying to figure out how I was going to come up with all of this money before my baby arrives. A friend of mine here at Alorica mentioned to me that MLBA has helped her come back on her two feet and suggested I fill out an application because it never hurts to try. 2 weeks later MLBA has blessed me with the HUGE help of getting my car back up and running. I honestly never thought that I would ever receive this much help from a company SO quick!! THANK YOU MLBA and THANK YOU to EVERYONE that helps contribute into this program, without any of you it would not be possible.Destiny Gonzalez
I have been with the company for almost 2 years. I was finally able to move my three kids to a house with a yard in a better area. I had saved for almost six months to make sure that I had all the deposit money, moving truck, bills etc. After moving into the house savings account was depleted. The next three weeks I was ill and unable to work. The following month rent became due and I was short. Hearing of the MLBA program, I put the pride to the side and asked for help. On pins and needles due to having exhausted all possibilities. I finally got an answer. I am so thankful that the MLBA was able to help me and my family. The program really is great.Anonymous
I just want to start by telling Alorica and MLBA Thank you so very much for giving me hope again! Because of Alorica, I am living a stress-free life and happier than ever! I was down and out with no hope of being successful due to the fact that I did not have a support system and it is just me and my 2-year old son on the streets, bouncing from house to house with anybody that would help with us having a roof over our head. I started working at Alorica and instantly knew that Alorica was a great fit for me, soon after I started working there, I get put out on the streets by a family member I was staying with and had to stay in my car just me and my 2 year old son, It was so bad that I felt like the stress was so much that I would have to quit my job because I started to give up, but I couldn’t give up, Alorica is all i had and is what helped me for this long….One day, my trainer told me about a foundation sponsored by Alorica called Making Lives Better with Alorica, after applying I got pulled off the phone to receive the best news of my life, Alorica approved my application and gave me a 2nd chance at life and I\’ve never been happier than ever. Thanks for all the support and help, Alorica! My Family and I really appreciate everything and you will never truly understand how much that meant to us! THANK YOU!Markayla Foster
In July 2016, I became severely depressed. I finally started seeking help in October. I am still seeing a psychiatrist, and had applied for SSDI. Even though I’ve worked for over 33 years, I was denied twice. I’ve since hired a lawyer but was told it would be a year before I can see a judge. Whenever I would get a large amount of money, like tax refund, I would pay as much as I could towards rent. I had rent paid through June, but didn’t know what I was going to do for July. I had made arrangements to move in with my son, but still had to pay July rent. I didn’t want an eviction on my record for just one month. I can’t even express my gratitude. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You’ll never know how much I appreciate it.Jeannete Thrasher
I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who participates in MLBA. My grandmother passed away at 98 yrs old and my dad traveled out of town to lay her to rest. While he was their he ended up falling from a stroke and hitting his head on the end of the table. To make a long story short he never made it back to Miami. My dad passed away with no insurance and i had no money or way to lay him to rest. I also needed to have his body move from Tampa to Miami with no way to do it. I applied for MLBA, and it was a blessing. An amazing feeling came over me when I was approved. I receive so much compassion and support from my team. I would like to give a special thanks to my manager Mrs Ingrid and our site directed Aronda thank you.
MLBA has helped me so much with the struggle I have been going through. I am 8 weeks along in my pregnancy and I have been living on my friend’s couch due to having nowhere else to go. A friend of mine at work had told me about how much they can help me with getting into a place to live of my own. Today has been a major blessing for me and my family! To be without their help I would still be homeless and wondering how I am going to care for a little one until his Father is able to come home. I couldn’t have asked for better people in our lives. Thank you so much for the help you all have provided. Thanks to you all, I now do not have to worry where I will be raising my little one. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND EVERTHING YOU DO TO HELP OTHERS!Anonymous
Working at Alorica in Sherman twice now I was so happy I was hired back. They make working there amazing with the caring people and Fun relaxed atmosphere. Everyone works hard but it makes you want to go to work. I had no idea what the MLBA was or what they really did. Until I was in desperate need and a supervisor sent me to them. They reached out and helped my family and I like we was a part of their family. And now they will always be a part of my family. There are no words to express how thankful I am. I can’t thank you guys enough.Anonymous
I can actually remember the first day I was told about MLBA. Brandy McCarter was so excited to share the news. I have been with alorica almost three years. Recently my Mother was very ill and was given a 1% chance to live. If you know me that is my lifeline. I had just gone from TM to Security Receptionist which is my true passion. Everything was so last minute the Dr. called and I had to rush to the hospital and she was later flown to another hospital. I called in and let them know I was out for three days never leaving the hospital. I do not want to just brag on MLBA I want to compliment my whole Team. Everyone was so supportive and reached out to me it was so rewarding to know that I had the support. I will happily donate to MLBA even though I did not need help just the fact that people still care in this world. I salute Brandy as well for all the hard work and extreme dedication making sure that others are rewarded and helped when needed. She helps to make life better here at alorica in Durant.Crissa McClure
I am so grateful to MLBA for assisting with the help I needed, when I needed it the most. I have only been with the company for a few months, however, I can already see the benefits of having this program to assist employees when they are in need. I was provided with the funds that enabled me to get my diabetic medication and go see the doctor. For this reason, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to Alorica, those that are in charge of this MLBA the supporters that giving to this great program. Not only that, to show my appreciation I am now donating towards to the cause to help others as MLBA has helped me. Again I want to say thank you for showing that you care by having this program in place. Sincerely,Bill Hill aka William Hill
I fell into a really hard time in which I did not know what I was going to do. I did not know if I was going to make my rent, I did not know what I was going to do next for food or a means of transportation. So after hearing about MLBA a few of my training classmates and my Trainer suggested I apply for the MLBA. The day before rent was due and ironically before my birthday I got interviewed about my application. Then finally on my birthday I found out I was going to get the help I needed, which made me cry in a good way of course. Thanks to MLBA I got my rent paid on time and my birthday ended up being the best thanks to the help that was given to me in my time of need.Anonymous
I ran into an unexpected set back a month ago. I’ve been with this company for 4 years and they were always willing to help. When I was told about our MLBA program I gave it a shot. Asking for help is typically hard for me, so that lets you know how much help I really needed. The turnaround response from them was almost immediate. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity to know my company will be there for me when life is not so supportive. Thank you MLBA.Anonymous
I would like to start my story by saying THANK YOU MLBA, thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! you’ve helped me a lot not only the company itself but the people who are in it. THANK YOU and GODBLESS. My husband passed away last January 19, 2017 he has CKD (chronic kidney dse) and had some complications, for every wife who is working the main reason you work is to support your family, after my husband died I decided to quit my job as well I am very depressed, during his wake people from the office, from work perhaps never fail to text me or call me asking how am I doing. I am so blessed then my Operations manager asked me to come to the office and talk a few things and my Team Manager asked me to fill up some applications, after then I found out it was about the help from MLBA I was so amazed that they really did that for me then after a week that fast, people from MLBA called me about the checked I was liked WHAT? checked? I never expected that the help would be so fast, so fast that I was not even thinking about it for a while but when the people from MLBA called me again to make sure about the name cemetery that my husband is in, believe it or not I was so shock… the help was so fast and so helpful! THANK YOU MLBA, THANK YOU ALORICA, THANK U PEOPLE IN ALORICA THANK YOU THANK YOU!! My name is Kimberlee Snowden, and I would like to take the time to share my story. I started working for Alorica on February 6, 2017. On April 19, 2017 my daughter was admitted into the hospital with the diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. Due to this unexpected news, I had to miss days from work, which meant less money on my checks. Panic and depression began to kick in, because my rent was late and late fees were constantly rolling in. What am I going to do is the question that replayed in my head on a daily basis. Then I became ill, and more days of missing work. I had until May 26, 2017 to come up with the balance that was owed on my home. I found out that Alorica had a program, that helps families in need. Honestly, at first I was very skeptical of applying. Why would they help me and I’m new? I’ve only been here 3 months. They won’t assist me. These are thoughts of negativity that came in my head. Seeing that my days were numbered, I prayed and filled out the application on-line. Long story short, I’m grateful I did. I approached my Human Resources Manager, Michael Ryan, to let him be aware that I applied. He assured me that he would look into it and see how I can receive assistance. I want everyone to know that all the doubts you may have about Alorica helping their employees – throw it out the window. Michael Ryan, without hesitation assisted me and my family. I’m very grateful for Michael Ryan. Cheryl Valdes, who is the Team Leader, and the rest of the board committee for helping me. Alorica helped to keep a roof over my 3 daughters’ heads as well as myself. I will forever be grateful to this company. Thank you, Alorica.Kimberlee Snowden
I was going through some hard times with my family medical issues and housing issues. And I came to ask for help from making lives better. And with the help from making lives better really helped. They really take the time to listen and help in any way they can. I would really like to say that no matter how hard that things go. There is people and an organization like making lives better can us all when we are in need. I do know that it is hard sometimes to ask, but I would same that please come and talk to them. These people are in my option are very kind and willing to help. And I would like to say thanks so much for everything.Anonymous
I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for the MLBA program through alorica. I have only been here for a year. When you’re someone whom tries to do everything the right possible way, it seems like you always get knocked down. You can’t ever imagine yourself going to ask for help. I couldn’t be more thankful for doing so. I’m thankful for my supervisor referring me to apply and thankful for all the board members. The program is wonderful. No matter the situation; life throws curve balls despite your plans. That’s just life. And I am so thankful for the help that I received. Thank you.
MLBA was recently introduced to us. Never imagined that a program like this would help me sponsor someone which I believe needs assistance. My sister-in-law, a former overseas contract worker was diagnosed of toxic goiter which was also the cause of the enlargement of her heart and pleural effusion. And due to this medical condition, she needed to go back to the Philippines and required to take daily medicines which is an additional burden to her family. MLBA approved my request on asking assistance for her medicines. My heart is filled with gratitude and appreciation for the help that was given. Thank you so much to all the people surrounding this program! To the kind-hearted people of MLBA in Alorica-The Fort site, especially OM Danny Abines and Sir Raul, thanks a lot! More power, MLBA and Alorica!
Single Mom of 3. 1 Week before my birthday it was on March 2017, I was at work and received several calls, when I finally answered, it was my neighbor saying our apartment had been shot up. When I arrived, my apartment was riddled with bullets. I lost my food, furniture, and my home. I was in the process of looking for a new home but with no luck. I was staying in a motel and my kids was staying with my mom. So from buying food to paying for a hotel it was getting hard as the days went by. On April 5 2017 I submitted my application to MLBA for assistance. Still looking for a home I was running low on money for food and somewhere to stay. But on April 12 I received the assistance I needed and I also received my key to my 4-bedroom home. Thanks MLBA it really meant so much to me and my kids.
Everything was going good in my life until the second week in March, I was on my way home from work and my vehicle’s engine seized up on me, leaving me without a vehicle. Then I had applied for a bigger apt. which I was denied, cos I didn’t income qualify. Things were definitely getting rough for me. Everyone at work was super cool with me and understanding. The operations manager talked with me about applying for MLBA. She even said she would sponsor me. Well I didn’t apply right away. I guess I felt bad and like other people needed the help more than I. My son had gotten injured on the job and has been unemployed for quite some time. I’m a single mother of a 14-year-old daughter, the struggle is real. I receive no child support and man if I did things wouldn’t be so hard financially. Anyway, Josh with HR talked to me one day at work, and talked me into filling out the papers and getting them back to him that day. I’m so grateful to the Colorado Springs site, and all their help. I received $215.00 for the rent I was short on. I can’t express enough gratitude to the MLBA for their contribution towards this.
I was hired February 6, 2017. On Holy Monday (April 10) I was rushed to the ER. My BP was 180/100 and I am passing out. I was admitted to the hospital and left on Good Friday. I had stacked bills due to the confinement. My manager asked me to try MLBA and after a week I got my check for medicine assistance. Thank you and God bless.
Losing someone you dearly love is perhaps one of the hardest things a person could ever experience. Just a bit of the story, it was December when Papa was diagnosed with cancer. I was in shocked upon hearing the sad news –it was even hard to believe how Papa got into that state. Three days upon celebrating New Year, he was rushed into the nearest hospital and there he was confined for further observations. It was then when his attending physician informed us that Papa was in the last stage of cancer. On that same day, Papa died. It was through MLBA’s donation which seamlessly helped our family in paying off hospital bills and burial cost. Furthermore, on behalf of my family, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to those behind this very generous charitable institution. May you continue extending your kindness among others, thrive. I bade you Godspeed.
I was out of work on maternity leave. While on FMLA I did not have any pay, and although I saved I was still behind on rent. I am so thankful for this program as I am now caught up and now going to have to worry with any eviction. I am very thankful for the assistance and the MLBA program.
The Northeast Raiders Football Program is a non-profit organization of volunteers. They devote their time to training and teaching football skills to the youth of our community. The organization competes in the El Paso Parks and Recreation Department (EPPARD) Youth Football League for children ages 6-7 (Mighty Mites), 8-9 (Minors), 10-11(Intermediates) and 12-13(Majors). Our steadfast policy is that our program cuts no child! The child determines if he is ready to play football. We were established in 1968 and this year will be our 50th year of playing football. I wanted to thank MLBA for helping our football program with a donation to replace 25 helmets. It was an unexpected surprise when we received the funds so quickly! We’ll be purchasing the 25 helmets in July from Riddell and I’ll send the invoice indicating the purchase. Once again the Northeast Raiders football program is grateful and thankful for your kind donation.
We were inspired by the Colorado Springs site and have created our own food and necessity pantry! On our launch day we collected over 200 items and have an additional collection day planned next month as well! Because of the great response we have decided that we are going to donate Easter Baskets filled with items from the pantry to several families within our community. We are so excited to be able to provide for our agents and our community in such a great way and would love to see other sites do the same! PS We have pictures but they were too large to upload, reach out if you’d like us to email them 🙂
On December 15th 2016 I was so excited to move into my new apartment just in time for Christmas. Then on December 23rd my husband passed away due to complications from kidney cancer. So not only did Christmas go away, so did my love of 19 years and his disability check. I couldn’t get paid for the days I missed work because the death certificate was mailed to our old address, my mother in law’s house. She is deep in the throws of dementia and could not recall ever receiving it. Then on January 10th 2017 I was taken by ambulance to the hospital for severe stomach pain which turned out to be an almost fatal condition brought on by stress and heredity. I was in the hospital 6 days and 5 nights mostly in ICU. Then came 6 weeks of recovery. I have no disability insurance and barely qualified for health insurance. I had absolutely no income at all. Once I was finally able to function on all the medications I was on I started calling churches, family assistance programs, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and every referral given to me. I made more than 53 phone calls and sent out more than 20 emails asking for help paying rent, buying food and keeping the electricity on. All but one said they had no money available or they didn’t offer rent assistance. The one church sent a check for $250 to cover a very small portion of rent, mostly late fees. I have just one daughter who is in a drug rehab and that’s it for family here. Fortunately January rent was discounted as part of my move in special and I was barely able to cover it with my last paycheck from work before I was hospitalized. My income tax return and the check from the church covered my February rent with not a penny to spare. I was walking to food banks with a little cart I had on wheels as I was trying to recover from my illness and the loss of my husband. Every day a constant struggle just to get enough food to eat. The day I returned to work my mother, who lives out of state had a brain aneurysm and is still hospitalized today. Couldn’t ask her for help. I had no money for bus passes to get to work and nobody to ask for help. That’s when I turned to MLBA. I actually had tried to get help back in January but never got a response. I figured I just wasn’t needy enough. This time I applied before my rent was due knowing there was no way I was going to gather it together by myself and I had exhausted every option. I sent every doctor bill, hospital bill, doctor’s note, lease agreement, utility bill and everything I had to all the board members praying I wouldn’t end up homeless. A few days after I returned to work I needed some information from HR and while I was speaking with our HR Manager, Penny she mentioned my application for assistance and told me to come back the following Monday and she would let me know (MLBA’s) decision. I was almost physically sick with worry. Then the day came and a manager came to my desk and told me that I was wanted in HR. Penny gave me the news. They agreed to cover my rent for March! I broke down. After months of struggling, stress and again the loss of my husband it all came down to that moment. Penny explained that it would take a few days to work out the details since the company I work for was very recently acquired by Alorica nothing like this had ever been done. It was a Friday and I had gotten all the way home on 2 buses after work when I got Penny’s voicemail. She said the check was ready and she waited at work almost an hour late for me to come back to pick it up delaying the start of her weekend just so I could get it turned in to my landlord before the close of business. Truly awesome of her! I still get chills thinking about it and how supportive my fellow co-workers have been since my return. I am almost 53 years old and I feel that I have finally found a place of employment I can call home. Today I have a pocket full of pennies, but my rent is paid, my utilities are paid, I have bus passes and a kitchen full of groceries. I am in a position to start budgeting and hope that by May I can begin to pay it forward and donate back to the program that saved my life.
I have been with Alorica for almost a year now. Recently relocating from New York it has not been easy especially trying to find employment. A few months into my move to Florida I became employed with Alorica and it was the best decision I made. (MLBA) is such a special program that Alorica has it recently helped me in a situation no one could expect was going to happen. I extremely grateful for this program and for this company. Being part of such an amazing company brings such a huge smile to my face every day. Thank you to everyone the (MLBA) board and Alorica you will always have a special place in my heart.
I have been an employee for more than three(3) years now and since then, Alorica never fail to inspire people more so to those who are in need. I have experienced gift giving to those who are less fortunate, giving school supplies to those children who wanted to go to school but was unable to provide things that they need, when our co-worker needs help by situation – I found it overwhelming that the Alorica always participate and lead us to do good deeds and charitable works. By the time I was at a state of devastation and felt like there’s no one I could ask for help, Alorica specially MLBA lent a hand and helped me with no hesitation specially when it comes to financial support. I was hesitant at first because I know that the money I need is not just a simple amount that could be easily given out. But MLBA offered full-heartedly support. I couldn’t survive the struggle without Alorica and MLBA’s assistance. I really appreciate the treatment that you have for your employee and I really felt I was a family. MLBA has been a great inspiration and motivation that whatever happens, there will still those people who are willing to help and will serve as your second family and will help you rebuild yourself for a better future. Thank you so much for the management, specially my TL, our OTS and OM who have been an instrument to make things possible. And most of all, to Alorica specially MLBA. I promise I will serve Alorica with loyalty and hard work in return. I can’t think of any other words to say but, THANK YOU SO MUCH ALORICA AND MLBA! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS!
During the month of January, my siblings and I received the unfortunate news that both of my parents had unexpectedly perished. The loss of a parent is generally something that every child anticipates, but few are truly prepared for; financially or otherwise. My superior took it upon herself to reach out to the (MLBA) board to see if there was any sort of assistance available. The fund was able to cover the entire cost of the services, something for which we are eternally grateful. With the financial burden of this tragedy alleviated, our family is able to focus our time and energy to the healing process that lies ahead. Thank you.
MLBA helped me so much. At the time I needed the assistance and I was able to get the help I needed. I really appreciate having this program and don’t know what I would’ve done without it. I was on maternity leave and it was unexpected. So this help was crucial. I would recommend MLBA to everyone that needs the help and most importantly for everyone to donate. You never know when It will be you next time.
I work for Alorica in Tampa. I have never worked for a company that when you’re in desperate need you can go and possibly get assistance. Me and my family were in dire need of some type of assistance. We usually don’t ask anyone for help. I think that mainly because the resources should be used for someone who really needs them. And I’m not going to lie, Pride has something to do with it also. I was raised with the mindset that if you are working, and budgeting your money accordingly you shouldn’t need assistance. In December we had to move, because we were getting evicted. The landlord to our property didn’t fix a hot water leak which ran the electric bill to $763.00. When he didn’t agree to give us an extension on the rent because of this we found ourselves evicted, I didn’t know what to do and I found myself at a standstill. Usually, companies have EAP, and that’s fine also but we needed financial assistance. We found a way to move with our savings, but that also meant Christmas was going to be bleak that year. Not only did ALORICA help with the electric bill, an HR Employee also bought my 4 kids toys. And my manager gave me a gift card for Boston Market all out of the goodness of their hearts. I am so thankful to this company. I’m happy to report that we are current in all of our bills and living in a bigger, and better place. Thank you to MLBA ALORICA!
Thanks;Erica Jean -Louis
I would like to say thank you. I didn’t think I was going to get approve for my car repairs, due to the amount but you guys prove me wrong. Thank you so much..
So I started working for Alorica in Albuquerque back in November I have only been here for a short period of time, I really enjoy working for this company and I’ve gotten nothing but good vibes. I have 4 kids and I have been going through a tough time for the past year staying from place to place desperately trying to get on my feet but was having issues, no matter how hard I tried to make it I would just get knocked back down. It was really frustrating because I just wanted the best for my kids and I couldn’t give them that but with the help of my Alorica Family I was able to have the opportunity to finally have a place to call home a place that’s mine for me and my kids. If it wasn’t for their help I don’t know what I would have done. It was a true blessing to me and my family. I THANK YOU ALORICA FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART YOU GUYS ARE WONDERFUL PEOLPLE.
I would like to say thank you so much to staff Alorica. I am so grateful they were able to assist me in my situation. I was a single mother living pay check to pay check on my own with no help and once I started working with Alorica they have been nothing but great to me they are an awesome team with great staff and such great personalities and I see myself working here for many years and building myself up and keep working hard as an employee, they are a life saver and took off so much on my shoulders. It’s been great here and I would consider any one working here. GREAT environment and everyone’s so friendly. Thank you so much for your help Alorica.
One of the recipients of this amazing organization was our own Jeremiah in San Antonio, TX. Last summer, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This was devastating news for Jeremiah, his wife, and their four small children—but Jeremiah was determined to continue to provide for his family. But with 15 rounds of chemotherapy every other week, they struggled to pay rising medical expenses. That’s when MLBA stepped in to assist with financial support. Today, Jeremiah is in complete remission and he is grateful for the help provided by MLBA. He is also grateful for all of the moral support and encouragement he received from his Alorica colleagues throughout his treatment. He admits it wasn’t easy coming to work after his chemo treatments, but the love and support of his Alorica family made all of the difference.
I have been with Alorica for almost 2 years, My family has recently taken a few hits financially My boyfriend got hurt at work and may require surgery, my daughter has been having problems at school and was recently diagnosed with ODD, among her self-harming behaviors we have had other things going on, anything that includes the death of a family member, car accident, fingers caught in doors of cars, it has been very stressful which included a very scary hospital stay for myself. With the help of MBLA I was able to keep my electric on for my family and I. With two kids and a hurt boyfriend the stress has gotten to be a bit much. I had no idea there was a program like this and it sets Alorica apart from all other companies. I don’t know what I would have done without that help! We have been trying everything to get on top of our bills, from requesting loans to extending payments as much as we can. it has been extremely tough but anything is helpful. My family and I couldn’t express in words the amount we would like to thank everyone at Alorica and the staff at my company! This company is making a difference.
I would like to start off by saying thank you to Alorica and the staff that assisted me in my situation. I have worked here in the San Antonio Woodway for 3 years and love my job. Even more so now! My car was towed which is my only form of transportation. As a single mom of two I was worried as to how I would make up the means to take my car out of the tow yard. I applied for urgent assistance because little did I know that every day the car sits in the yard they would add on a daily dollar to the already high bill for towing. Alorica and its staff assisted me that same day to alleviate my stress as they understood that this was the only way I had to transport my children to and from school and myself to and from work. I was blessed that day and am blessed to work for such an amazing company. I have never seen any other company be so united and willing to assist those in need. Thank you to the San Antonio team who made this possible and to Alorica for having such an amazing program!!!
I would like to take this moment to give my deepest appreciation to MLBA Durant Oklahoma. I moved to this area in September 2016 and two weeks later started my job with Alorica. Right away I made amazing friends and grew fond of the staff immediately. They are all so caring and supportive and like family. I unexpectedly had to find a place to live on very short notice and could not afford the rent, deposit and utilities deposits all at once on such short notice so MLBA Durant blessed me with their assistance paying the utilities deposits. I don’t know what I would have done without their help. I couldn’t be more thankful or grateful for their help. Many Blessings and thank you MLBA Durant!
I recently moved back to this area after being off for over a year due to health issues, found this job soon as I got back and then all heck broke loose. I was staying with a friend and there was an issue with my 17 yr old daughter and her mom, long story short my kid ended up in a children’s shelter and I had no money saved yet to move, then I found out MLBA could help and did they ever!!!!!! We got approved for a place but didn’t have the money to move in right away, a co-worker told me MLBA might be able to help us and within two days they had approved to give us the money to move in, now I have my daughter and we have a home and all was made by us being blessed and the great people of MLBA!!! My daughter and myself want to give a big shout out to MLBA for truly Making Lives Better!!!1 Thank you MLBA from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!!
I want to say a big thank you to the Alorica team. My car has been acting up for quite some time now. I took it to a shop and found out that my fuel pump was going out and I had no way to pay for it due to me being the only working in my household I had too many other bills. The Alorica staff stepped and had me fill out a paper and bring my estimate into them and they paid for my car to get fixed. If it was not for them my family and I would not have a way to dr appointments or work. They helped so much. They are a really good company and treat their employees well. Once again thank you for your help Alorica.
Yesterday I went to the cemetery and dropped off our MLBA check to help a recently deceased agent on my team. I asked for the receipt for my job so the young lady asked, “where do you work?” I said, “Alorica.” She was shocked that we were helping the family this way. She then called over the owner and other employees and told them our story. Many of the employees said “that they don’t see many companies that help families like us unless the person had insurance or something like that.” I have never been so proud to work for a company in my life. Giving the money is not what made me honored to work here, it’s the fact that we helped a family in their time of need. That’s priceless and is something that you cannot read in a job survey or truly understand until something tragic happens. Thank you all for what we were able to do. I also was able to give out my number because some of the employees wanted to tell their children about our location. (I did mention we were hiring).
When I say Rocky Mount Alorica helped me out tremendously!!!! You guys are so awesome! Staff has been wonderful! I moved from Philadelphia with my 2 kids and my fiance to start a new life. We moved into a 2 bedroom apartment when we moved to Rocky Mount, I spend all of the money I had left to get into the apartment. 1 week and 1/2 later we were badly effected by the hurricane (Matthew), our apartment was flooded out. Lost just about everything in the apartment. We had to relocate to a shelter for about 2 weeks, then FEMA placed us in a hotel as shelter until we could find a place. FEMA helped us out with some finances, by the time I found a place most of the money that was giving to me was gone. I had to pay for food, and gas, for myself and my family. I hear about a program through Alorica that was called Making Lives Better, i was told they could help with my situation. I was $300 short to get into the property that i found. I tried so many ways to find the money and to make a way. I decided to go speak with a lady name Mrs. Lee and I spoke with another lady name Mrs. Samantha. I told them my situation and the next week day, I came into Mrs. Samantha’s office and it was a $300 check written out to me. I tried my best not to break down in tears after it. I would never think I would be approved because I was a new employee. They also helped with clothes for myself and my family, gave me toys for my children, Cans of food, soap, and etc. About a week later I received 2 gift cards, 1 from Walmart and the other was a Visa. All I want to say is thank you Alorica, Making Lives Better! You helped and made our lives better, my family and I truly do appreciate everything you have done!
Thank you for the help on paying my electric bill. My wife did not get summer pay as a teacher and with this help really came in at the right time. Was behind but thanks to making life better for the help.
I work for the Alorica office in Sherman, Tx, and I am so grateful to have a team of employees, managers, supervisors and leaders who understand every situation. I am a single mom living pay check to pay check and if you don’t know, let me tell you that it is tough. I have no other financial assistance beside the pay checks that I am raking in from work. I had a disconnect notice and family issues and I was very down. Thank God for my Alorica family stepping in and paying all of the bills that I needed paid because if it wasn’t for them I am not sure what situation myself or child would be in and I truly count it a blessing to not only have employees but a team that I can call family. Thank you MLBA for everything and I appreciate you more than you will ever know!!! You guys ROCK and keep up the good work…Anonymous
I would like to say thank you so much to the staff of Alorica. I started work for TFS August 29th 2016 and from that point on they was like my family. Ryan, Brandy, Chasidy, and Skip I want to thank you for seeing that I was needing help and you all stepped up and went above and beyond to help me I will never forget all you’ve done to help me be able to keep my job and get into a place to keep me off the streets. And keep me able to see my children I thank God for each and everyone whom helped me on my way to better my life…YOU ALL ARE AWESOME THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!!Anonymous
I recently had my car stolen and didn’t know how I was going to afford to get another one. Someone in Corporate H/R suggested that I apply for assistance through MLBA. It hadn’t even crossed my mind because other companies I have worked for have not offered this wonderful benefit. I was able to receive an amount for a down payment. It is an older car, but I am so thankful that I will be able to have my own transportation again. Thank you so much!Anonymous
I have been working for Alorica for almost 4 years, and have always been pretty secure financially. All at once life seemed to crumble around me. My girlfriend lost her job, we were hit with a $500 PGE bill out of nowhere (when it was usually 100) and our bills were just piling out of control. We tried and failed to figure it all out, and Making Lives Better stepped in and Made our Lives better! After paying everything else, we had 11 dollars left for rent. MLBA paid our rent for us and kept us in our apartment. MLBA lifted the weight off my shoulders and kept me from drowning. Thank you!!!!Anonymous
To whom it may concern I fell on some hard times me and my baby was put out are home. I really don’t have any family so we begin living with my friends I had no car no place we were basically homeless. I couldn’t rely on anyone but my job. The Durant MLBA chapter helped me out tremendously. I had been put on bed rest, and I was worried about how I was going to pay my rent. After I submitted all of the necessary paper work, Brandy called me into her office and told me the good news! Brandy and the team were able to help me on my rent. I appreciate the help so much. Thank you!!!!!Anonymous
Thank you soooo much for helping me with my part of the rent! It greatly helped me to insure that I can buy groceries for my home and the essential items needed for my kids. Thank you again for the help! I greatly appreciate it!Anonymous
Living life is a challenge……Having life change all in one day and day after day is another story. I am a mother of 5 and do everything I can for my kids. I had obstacles coming toward me back to back and from all directions. I was just about to give up when tried my last resort through MLBA of Sherman and they heard my cry it lifted my spirits!! It may not have been much to others but if felt like I just received a million bucks. With the help of this organization I can almost see above water now!!! I am truly grateful to be a part of a company that does such outreach!! This is truly a blessing and I hope the organization continues to be blessed and be a blessing to others as they have to me!!! XOXOXOXOLatasha Jackson
When I was at a loss of what I was going to do after accumulating medical bills and saw the MLBA web address news on our monthly calendar I decided to try and contact them. To my surprise I was contacted at work within two days. I was assured that this would be confidential and after explaining my circumstances received the assistance I requested. I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to my Alorica Family here in Tampa, Florida.Anonymous
When I started at Alorica, I was going thru some of lives hard times. While in training my Instructor mentioned a program that could help individuals when they are down on their luck, Making Lives Better (with Alorica). I was so skeptical to apply because of my pride and of the fact I had only been in class for a few days. I thought to myself ” there is no way they are going to help me”, but boy I could not have been more wrong. I few days after applying I was called into HR to come pick up a check to pay for the deposit of my new apartment. I was so grateful, that an organization like this existed and even went so far as to help me in my time of great need. Thank you MLB[A] and Thank you to Alorica. you changed my life.Anonymous
Thank you for donating to our classroom! We are super excited to start using our manipulatives in our class. Since, the flooding, \”normalcy\” is undefined here. My job as a teacher is to try and make a \”safe\” place for these students. Many students have lost everything at home and school. I lost almost ALL of my toys, blocks and learning games in the flood. My students now have something to play with in school. Since my students also lost everything at home, these are their toys! When I see my students get excited when they play with these NEW manipulatives,I just melt. I wish you could see their amazement! Some of my students have not played with toys since the flood and this allows them the opportunity to explore something new in the safety of school. I was extremely excited about the classroom decorations that we got. I was able to transform a bare room into a child\’s paradise of learning. All of my students will benefit from your donation and I am excited to see how my students will grow this school year. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Walking into my classroom after the Flood of 2016 that devastated our city of Denham Springs, LA was an overwhelming feeling. I had lost most of my things including almost all of my classroom decorations, books and cd\’s, reading and math games and lots of shelves and bookcases that housed the things I use in my class with my first graders throughout the year. My home also flooded too. When I found out that the First grade teachers, Kindergarten teachers and our Pre- K teacher would be given the opportunity to replace some of the things lost on a shopping trip to a classroom supply store to purchase items for our kids to use in our classroom, I felt very grateful. On the day that we got to shop, tears filled my eyes as I looked around the store. I am very blessed and truly thankful for the ladies that reached out to us and helped make it possible to get our classrooms ready for our children! Making Lives Better [with Alorica] made my day!
To whom it may concern, I was recently employed by Alorica, and fell prey to some serious hardships. I remember being in the classroom learning the trade I was hired to do, when I met Mrs. McCarter. Later that week I was able to work up enough courage to address my issues, after becoming homeless. The MLBA program was able to help me get into an apartment. My life has gotten better with each waking breath. Since then, I have come across many other fellow workers who, like me, were finding themselves homeless. I have been able to pay it forward and feel blessed to have the opportunity to do so. Thank You MLBA!!!
I have worked at Alorica for almost 9 months. I am extremely allergic to most perfumes, and with the close work space here at Alorica when someone sprays it on the floor I have a major allergic reaction.. I have had to leave work by ambulance several times due to my throat closing and not being able to breath. I am trying to get on my feet after a really bad divorce, and still fighting for custody of my daughter. I am not able to afford heath insurance to help cover the cost of EpiPens. they would not stop me from having to go to the hospital but they would help keep my airway open and from it getting to bad before I get to he emergency room. My OM helped walk me though the application proses for the MLBA and I could not be more grateful for the MLBA it is a major comfort to knowing that I have those EpiPens in my purse. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE FUNDS TO GET MY MEDICATION !!!!!!YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!
MLB[A] was very helpful in helping me get my back rent paid down. Because I am a college student I was able to negotiate a lower rent with my landlord. Thank you!
Words can\’t express how wonderful the Making Lives Better [with Alorica] non profit organization is. I work for Alorica in San Antonio (woodway team). My children and I are so grateful. I lost my husband for 18 years a few weeks ago. Life always throw curve balls and you think you are prepared but when it comes your way, sometimes can\’t think clear. This organization stepped up and jumped right in to financially help me and my 3 children. I am so speechless. They paid for the rental car and gas for us to travel to bury him in his hometown Chicago, IL. I can\’t think of another organization who would have done this. I want to thank the board. I can proudly donate every paycheck knowing this is going to a good cause, that are willing to help people I\’m their time of need. Once again thank each and everyone that is on the board.
I am speechless and so thankful for this organization. If it had not been for this organization I would have not know what to do. When my husband of 18 years passed away they stepped right in to assist me and my 3 children. They went far and beyond of what I could ever imagine. Thank you to the Making Lives Better [with Alorica], and thanks to the ones that sit on the board. Thank you.
As a single mother its never easy. I had a little bit of a gap between jobs and was stressing about how I was gonna pay my rent. I wasn\’t going to have anything to get my son birthday presents. But MLBA donated enough to get me through for the next month. I appreciate it more than anyone knows. This good news has turned my view around and given me hope. I almost cried when they told me my application was approved. They are life savers. I will give back any chance I get, especially if it means helping out someone else who will be in my situation. Its good to know there are still good human beings out there that want to help just out of the goodness of their hearts. Thank you MLBA for taking your name literally and making my life better.Kelli Mclain
I have always been the type of person to help others, and do what I can for anyone in need, and now I got to experience it from the other side. On behalf of the Huff family, I would like to send a heartfelt Thank You to the MLBA program at Alorica in Durant, Oklahoma. They helped me and my family pay for my brother in laws funeral expenses. They are true angels, and life savers. I cannot thank you enough! I am forever grateful, and appreciative for what the MLBA program here at Alorica has done for me. I also want to Thank the ones that have donated to the MLBA program. Without you all, this wouldn\’t have been possible! THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!!!Anonymous
I am a single mother of 3 and have worked at Alorica for almost a year. In July I was facing evection from my home and applied for help from the MLBA. I was granted the help I needed to keep my family\’s home and keep my kids safe. I am so thankful to the wonderful people I work with for helping me. I know I will keep donating to the MLBA so they can help my coworkers in the future the way they helped me. Thank you Team Durant for everything you do! You are all rock stars!Anonymous
I am so grateful for Mlb[a]@Woodway. I was getting ready to being evicted. But I had a new place that I got approved for but my deposit was so expensive 600 bucks plus first month rent.. I’m so grateful to Sherman MLBA! It\’s been a long rough year for my kids and me…. My true friends can only help me so much through this ugly divorce and custody. I was having to buy everything all over again for my kids, myself, & my home…. The bills were still coming and my income didn’t stretch enough. Every month I was digging my debt bigger, deeper, & darker. A nice awesome bonus check surprisingly came my way that took care of that debt but my problems kept growing. It\’s taken me 8 months to finally get everything and sit good w things but I was 1 1/2 months behind rent and was owing for the month of… I finally got things together but was scared I was gonna lose everything again. My job helped my drastically!!! Helped me w my past rent and I was also able to get assistance w the month of! The burden and fear Sherman MLBA took off my shoulders….. I was finally able to breathe and think clearly! No matter what I can always count on people who truly care abt me and my daughters!!! I’ll always be grateful to Sherman MLBA for giving me back my everything and so much more!!!! Thank u so much!!!! ????792Jessica Portal
I want to thank the Rocky Mount MLBA Team for granted needed funds to help with rental assistance. This program is truly a blessing. I thank God for making this possible. The Rocky Mount MLBA will forever have a place in my heart.
My husband and I have service dogs due to his disability and after we moved to a new home we were blessed with 7 lovely husky puppies however the landlord slammed us with not only $1021.00 fee( $100/ off spring fees plus $300 non refundable fees) for violating a contract.Furthermore they were also going to evict us. We were so shocked because any service animals off springs will be honored up to 8 weeks by the state of Texas Disability act. So they were discriminating us and also wanted to get rid off all puppies prior to 8 weeks or to move out. Not only it was a hard ship to deal with this but also the way they provided the eviction notice that we were panicking about. So I prayed reached out to all departments and Church but no one was able to help. I put my pride aside and decided to ask Lives Better to help us and they made the process easy and very kind. All ladies from Mrs Paula Mansfield to Mrs Hope was just pleasant and so kind on a daily basis they kept on reassuring me that everything will be okay. I hope more people will donate and participate to this program since it did work for us and not only they helped us for financial support but morally as well. I mean not many people will come or text now a days to reassure you and to give you hugs in such horrible moments of life. But all these wonderful agents were there and also offered even more support than just financial. They had time to listen and they also offered legal aid assistance in case we would end up in court. Please donate to this program so helpless people and other coworkers can be blessed. If it was not for Lives better we would be homeless by now. I am so grateful and blessed and so I want others to know yes there is always hope and doors can open if you try
7 months ago i left a domestic violence relationship and moved away with my children nobody knows the real reason but me well i decided things where not so great there either and decided to move back home not knowing where i would go where me and my kids would leave or what we would eat but i knew it would be the best thing to do a week after coming back to Sherman i started at Alorica and its been nothing but great positive vibes and fun loving people then i became homeless jumping from place to place which wasn’t healthy for my children so i sent them off with family until i could get a stable place for them to call home and Sherman MLBA is who i have to thank for that without them i would be without my kids jumping from place to place i’m grateful for the things they do and thank you would never be enough to show them how grateful i am i literally left work that day and cried tears of joy forever grateful for this opportunity and the opportunity to also work with the people who are Making Lives Better thank you!!!
My Family And I Greatly Appreciate The Sherman MLBA Team For Helping Us In A Time Of Need . This Program Is Such A Blessing To Those Who Are In Need I\’m Blessed Beyond Measures That I Was Granted Assistance For Me And My Family . Thank You Sherman MLBA ❤-873
There are not enough words to express my gratitude for the Sherman MLBA team. They, as well as the staff, stepped in and helped me and my family through a devastating time in our lives and we will be forever grateful. As I said there are no words that could describe our gratitude, \”Thank You\” is simply not enough. The Sherman MLBA Team and staff will forever hold a special place in my heart and the hearts of my family.
My mother passed away when I was 12 years old and my father developed some very serious problems. My sister was going to college at the time and left school to help my grandfather take care of me for 2 years. She helped me get into Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pa. when I was 14. Shortly after that my sister moved to Minnesota and my brother was in the Air Force so we had drifted apart into different parts of the country and lost the bond that many families have living in close proximity. I moved to Texas 35 years ago and met and married my wife who already had 5 children and we had a 6th together so we have always struggled to pay the bills on a single income, let alone put money into savings. I’ve worked with West/Alorica for 25 years on July 29 of this year. My wife has health problems and her prescriptions are high along with doctor’s bills. My daughter and 3 granddaughters came to live with us and to make their lives better, I’m paying for pharmacology classes so money is still very tight. I received word of my sister’s passing from her grandson and the funeral was to be held in a few days in Grapevine, Tx. I did not have a lot of money left after paying bills and was at a loss to figure out how to make the trip. The train or Megabus round trip to Grapevine, TX from San Antonio, TX is not expensive and I had scraped up enough for all of us for the tickets but flying at $500 + per person was way out of my reach. My family is spread out all over the country from California to Georgia from Texas to Minnesota and everyone else was coming in but we would not have a place to stay. I haven’t seen my brother who now lives in Georgia in 30 years and any of my other relatives in 35 years. I had finally decided that we just could not go and it hurt, thinking of all the things that my sister had done for me that I no longer felt I could go and so much of the family would be coming together. A few hours before the end of the day the day before I would have to leave, someone suggested a contact person with MLBA. I contacted her and she said she would see if there was anything that MLBA could do to help. She came down with a gift card an hour later which was enough to cover my motel expenses for a couple of days. That was all I had to worry about and our trip was on. Although it was a sad occasion with the passing of my sister, I met and reconnected with relatives whom I have not seen for years or never seen and possibly never would have without that help from MLBA. I just wanted to say thank you for making my trip up to Grapevine a lot better than it may have been. Again, many, many thanks for the help I was given by MLBA for making it happen, especially on such short notice.
A huge heartfelt thank you to all for the support, the love and the generosity of everything that you have done. I have always thought of my coworkers as a family. We have been through the joyous times of marriages, births, adoptions, etc. as well as the tough times of a friend/coworker passing, the loss of a parent or other family member or devastating illnesses. Through all of those times we have banned together and helped any way we could. And that was no different when my time of need came. I have been blessed with good health all of my life and work to take care of myself the best I can but I was stricken with a serious condition that could have been fatal and is for 50%+ of those with the condition. The hospital time in ICU and the recovery period was long but with the love and support of my family, friends and coworkers I made it! I will always support MLBA!
At Seeds Community Cafe’, we believe that everyone has the right to have access to a fresh, healthy, locally-sourced meal, regardless of their ability to pay. It is our mission to fight food insecurity, strengthen the local food movement, and educate our community about making healthier food choices.
In the community café model, there are no prices on the menu. Our guests have three options to pay for their delicious meal: pay what you think is a fair price for a healthy entrée as well as a soup/salad and beverage: add a few dollars more so that we can continue to fulfill our mission; or volunteer an hour of service in exchange for your meal.
We believe that a hand up, not a hand-out, allows people to begin to own their lives again. We provide this opportunity to exchange service for a meal in an atmosphere of inclusion and dignity. We are not a soup kitchen; food has the power to change lives and healthy, fresh food is truly empowering.
We are donation-based and volunteer driven. And though we have other programs in place that serve to support the Café (The Local, our food truck; our Sustainable Catering program and our Healthy Cooking Classes, for example), there is no denying that sometimes we can get into financial straits if traffic in the Café is slow. At those times, we rely upon grants from foundations, businesses and private benefactors.
We can’t thank the employees of Alorica and the MLBA program enough. Your donation and support came at a time when it was sorely needed and gratefully received. Thank you again!

The Colorado Springs Chapter would like to share a few submissions we received when we asked “What Does MLBA Mean To You?”
–“It basically means Alorica does more for people than another other company I’ve ever worked for.”
–“Making my life better at Alorica,
By keeping positive attitudes, filling tummies and make sure we are all happy and taken care of. ”
–“A company that goes out of its way to make lives better for employees that run in to hard times. A thing not found in most companies today.”
–“MLBA means to me a way to help people as well as well as also improving the moral (sic) of everyone here.”
–“To me, MLBA means making a difference when it matters. It’s a huge part of why I personally came to work at Alorica and one of the many ways I see our company reaching out to change people’s lives. I think that working for a company that is able to recognize its own areas for improvement and taking steps to help change those is huge and I am really happy to be a part of that :).”
–“What does MLBA mean to me: MLBA means that I can sleep a little better at night knowing that not only me, but the people on my left and on my right, have a little bit of security. So when life gets rough the company that we put our time and energy into has out back when we REALLY need it.”
Thanks;Colorado Springs MLBA Chapter
I have worked with Alorica for over 2 1/2 years now and last year they rolled out MLBA to our site. I was very thankful that we had this at our site as my car broke down around Christmas time and I was stressing big time about how to get to and from work as I couldn\’t afford the parts for my car. Thanks to the MLBA in my site I was able to get a ride to and from work; be able to celebrate Christmas with my kids (with presents) and not have to worry how to get the extra money for my car parts as they purchased everything for me. I love that we have MLBA to help out our associates in our call center and I continue to make donations or support activity that we have to continue to have this wonderful chapter in our center. Thank You Colorado Springs you are amazing!!!
MLBA, helped me without question. I was in a bind and needed immediate assistance. The chapter here in Sherman, cared enough to take the time to help me. They were fast and efficient, they were discrete and made sure that my privacy was maintained. I just want to thank the Sherman MLBA for getting me through what would have been a tough time. Hands down they are the best.
TEAM, Pardon the interruption and thank you for your time, for those who are not familiar with the MLBA, when I first moved to Omaha and got my job at alorica, I was struggling to get on my feet. I advised my manager at the time that I would have to quit work because I could not make it to work due to money issues, I needed gas, food, and a tire for my car. I moved here with no family and the intentions of living a productive life, but my money was never right and the winter along with bills, caught up to me and I was ready to give up, pack up and move back to Texas. The day I was going to quit I spoke with a gentlemen in charge of a program called MLBA and due to my hardship, I qualified for help. They helped me make it to the next week, which helped me to the next month which brings me here today. Thank you MLBA! Please I do not need a response, but just know alorica has helped make my life better and I continue to grow as a person. Once again THANK YOU MLBA!! You probably saved my life… REALTALK!!!!
Thanks;Joe Mikael Garza
I want to take a minute to recognize Angela Albright, our Sr HR Generalist in Longwood. Angela has only been with us for a few months, but has already made many lives better in her time here. Since we launched the MLBA program we have received many requests for grants in Longwood and one of the most common challenges our colleagues face when they request a grant is possible eviction. We get at least one of these per month. When we receive these it is typically a scenario where if the money is not paid within a few days they will be evicted. While our MLBA board worked on the first case a few months ago, Angela decided to see if she could personally call the landlord to negotiate a workable solution that would keep the team member in their apartment until the funds could be paid. To our pleasant surprise, the landlord was very receptive to the call and worked with Angela to find a solution. With that initial success, Angela continued this approach the next time and it turns out that in every case the landlords have worked with her and we have been able to prevent 3 evictions in as many months. Not only that, she has also been successful in preventing late fees being added to accounts as well!
Angela’s passion for helping people is clearly visible in every conversation and her willingness to go above and beyond to find solutions has made the difference.
While the goal is first and foremost to help people, the business impact is real as well. We have people every day trying to come to work and focus on the job while facing unimaginable stress outside the office. When we step up and provide this level of concern and support our relationship with these individuals rises to a different level. After learning this week that Angela was able to prevent her eviction here is some of the response from our team member – “This is amazing. Thank you SO much – you have no idea what this means. :)”
Thanks,Brian Russell Site Director, Longwood
On April 30th my husband was seriously injured in a head on collision. He required emergency surgery for internal bleeding. He is not able to return to work until August 1st. The last of his PTO ran out a month ago which put us in a one income situation (Mine). I was hesitant at first to ask for help but thought at this point I had nothing to lose right. Today MLBA paid for our utilities (which were in shut off status) to get us through the month of July. Words cannot express how grateful and humbled I am that you were able to help us. From my husband and myself, thank you MLBA for being there for us and getting us through this difficult time. God Bless
So God has been blessing myself and my little family in unimaginable ways lately. Just a quick little story… I [am] a single mom and my 1 year old son’s dad currently in a Rehabilitation center have been living happily, healthily, soberly, and on a Godly path. Is the path easy? No. But honestly nothing in life is meant to be easy- easy means no growth, no lessons learned. If life was easy we wouldn’t cry out to God in the most desperate of moments. I’ve come to learn that in the dark, rough, questionable times we have to learn to let go. The way I think of it is putting a blind fold on and fully submitting your faith in God’s will for your life. Another thing I’ve learned is to be humble yourself and admit your troubles rather then wallow in the self pitty – make your struggles be known, you never know who will grab your hand and lift you up if you never reach out for someone to do so. I recently attempted to “Quit” my job being that I was driving 100+ miles a day and a whole check went to gas. After praying and praying I text my boss my situation and that it wasn’t going to work out for me. The reply was well… God sent. My job runs a charity within the corporation that helps it’s employees out. My boss had me apply and I was approved not only for help but got the full deposit and first month’s rent paid for through Making Lives Better Alorica (MLBA). As of Friday I am now living in my own 2 bedroom apartment near bout only 6 min away from my work. Babysitting offers have been given I still just need to figure out what way to go about it. My new schedule that I just received works out perfectly factoring in my school schedule- which is also only 15 min away from my new home. Nothing could be better as of right now. My life is proof that hard work, faith, and fully submitting and surrendering your life to God and letting him take control of your life does result in blessings far more then what you can ask, imagine, or think of. I would\’ve never known a year ago today that I would be in the shoes I’m in now. The upmost praise goes to God and a huge Thanks to Alorica. Thank you for everything. This corporation has been such a blessing in my life and for that I am the most grateful person on Earth right now. I just want everyone that is going down a path of restoration to stay positive and stay focused, don’t let the rough patches dull your shine. Continue to be a blessing to others even when it seems “nothing is going the right way.” God sees it all. He sees the hard work. He sees the lonely nights. The tears you’ve shed just because you want your family to be happy and simply comfortable but you can’t make it happen. He will provide. Nothing is overlooked by God. That light at the end of the tunnel isn’t as far away as you think. Just keep chugging along. Blessings are to come as long as you instill that faith in your higher power. Let go, and let God. Amen. Thank you – from me and my son- MLBA for being that light in a dark time.
I was at a dead [end] for assistance and almost evicted. I work in the sherman office i am very thankful and grateful for what they have done for me…
A huge thank you to all of the support, the love and the generosity of everything that you have done for myself, and my family in our desperate time of need. Being 19, and having a true career so early in life was a blessing in the beginning, but for me to be completely reassured by all of the things that Alorica & MLBA has done in just this short time makes me forever thankful for the career path I have chosen, Knowing I have a second family and more support than ever makes me love coming to work everyday and makes me want to in turn help people the same way I have been helped. When I first heard the news that the tornado took our home, I just knew that all hope was gone. I got a call from my local HR manager, she assured me that whatever was needed would be taken care of. No one has ever went above and beyond this way. MLBA made sure I had a home and reassured my family that there is still greatness in humanity. I will forever support MLBA and always be forever grateful for what they have done.
Thank you so much for the assistance I am so grateful. I work in San Antonio everyone I spoke to was so kind. I don\’t know what I would have done with out there help. God bless you..
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Was able to keep my apartment. God bless you.
I just want to reach out to all the board of Making Lives Better. I cannot express enough my heartfelt gratitude for the assistance you provided me. It’s greatly appreciated, beyond words could ever express. This has made my life better in a BIG way. Thank you for caring. 🙂 Sincerely,TC Blevins
Because of the financial assistance that I received from the Making Lives Better with Alorica Program and the support of my Super Fabulous Awesome Wonderful San Antonio Woodway Team I will NOT be homeless. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to say I am extremely grateful for everything and thus will I continue to be devoted to providing insanely great customer service to every client that the Alorica supports. Thank you MLBA San Antonio Woodway!-Bobi Laboy
I want to express my most heartfelt gratitude for the MLBA program! I was hit with some hardship when my daughter’s father passed in recent months. It was all too much and I finally made it a point to reach out. Alorica and its team of Leads were wonderful in not passing judgment, allowing me to feel relief and support almost instantly. Thank you! Things continue to improve, I am able to be a source of support to others in need and give hope that people do still care.
Life certainly has it’s unexpected twists and turns. I was being evicted from my residence on the 22nd of the month (Yeah, I know!), and it’s like impossible to rent an apartment on a specific day like that, plus in this city it is a landlord’s market for sure, and apartments are hard to come by. I found an apartment to rent on the first of the month, prior to my eviction, but having already paid for my current residence, I did not have the funds to secure the new apartment. Thanks to the amazing MLBA program, and their generosity and concern for my well-being, I was able to use their financial assistance to pay for my new apartment, thus ensuring that on the 22nd I would have a place to live. This has truly been not only a blessing for which I am forever grateful, this has really opened my eyes on how important it is to work for a company that cares about its employees. Thank you so very much wonderful MLBA program, you truly were there for me when I needed you most.
I cannot express my gratitude enough with my office…..I have been going thru one life knockdown to another and I have put the brave face and fake smile on each and every day possible some days more so than not, while on the inside I have been dying and felt as if loosing my mind and no where else to turn or look. I regressed to self mutilation due to all the stress and not having the courage to ask for help or just an ear to talk to….. I can honestly say that my office management have went above and beyond to let me know that I am a well appreciated employee and a pleasure to work with and then as a last ditch hope effort I let go of my shame and pride and reached out for help and with in less than 12 hours they were able to assist me in my need I could never thank you as a company or individuals for the blessing that has been bestowed upon me and my family…may god bless you all for such kindness!
I’m very thankful for the MLBA. I was out on leave for 12 weeks with the passing of my daughter. When I finally got back to work 2 weeks later my father passed. Things were very stressful I didn’t know what to do. Then a co-worked told me about the MLBA. I was like it doesn’t hurt to apply. They paid my car payment up for me. I was so afraid of loosing my car. That was the one bill that I couldn’t seem to catch up. When they called and told me they approved me was like so much weight lifted off my shoulders. This program is God send. I’m thankful to everyone on the board and the people who donate as well. This program is a blessing to those in need. I can’t wait until I get the opportunity to start donating as well to give back the feeling when the program helped me. Thank you so much.
…Asking for help is not something I do, not financial help anyway. I have always prided myself in my independence and self-sufficiency. Recently, however, I had no choice. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had placed myself and my family in a frightening financial spot. We were about to be without a home.
Thanks to Making Lives Better, I was able to maintain our home and breathe just a little easier.
This past week we became homeless, this unexpectedly happened, we did not have the funds to cover the expense. Thanks to this program they have help my family including my children until we can get things figured out. Its greatly appreciated.. Thanks for helping my family!!!!
I just want to say that with this program Alorica has set up is very helpful. I was struggling with my billing going through a new training class and Alorica put in this new program. I asked for them to only pay for half my rent and utilities but they reviewed it and ended up paying for one month of rent and the full month for utilities also. I was very grateful for the help because I am supporting my brother who is in school and his coach was initially paying half of the bills on behave of my brother and up and left the team out of nowhere. I am really grateful that Alorica help me with my bills
I applied for assistance after my stepson had gotten shot and killed. I was not too long on the force but saw the information and applied because I had fallen behind on bills. I had fallen so far behind I lost my car and almost could not feed my family. Coworkers and also showed me loved This assistance gave me a great help towards getting my life back on track and now I also donate. Thank you.
When I first started I had a car paid off but it broke down. I had no money to get another one but I did just start with Alorica. So I can begin to save. It was getting hard finding rides with my little one so I went and got a car soon as I had down payment money but needed help with the tags. I never ask for help but I did and they helped me right away. Me and my family are back on track and it makes me even more proud that I work for Alorica because they really do care about their employees. Thank you For helping me and my family!
First of all I want to give our God all the Praise, honor and glory for giving me such a great company of Alorica with a great team of members such as Mr. David Castellanos ( my supervisor) and Ms. Audrey and Ms. Anne ( my big boss). They’re people who moved quickly to see to my need. When I first approached Mr. David Castellanos with my dilemma causing me to loose time off from work. He was very concerned and quickly brought the situation to Ms. Anne which brought it to the attention of (MLBA) Making Lives Better with Alorica with Ms. Sharon. I was losing my apartment Due to a series of unexpected issues. My car broke down, my health suffered and others. MLBA showed me they really cared and provided funding to bring my rent up current with the late fees totaling over $1,000.00. This is what I call a team and a family that cares. I’m an employee that really has no family to fall back on. I’m pretty much on my own. But I thank God every day for my job at Alorica.
Hi my name is Kenyanna and I want to say Thank You! I applied to get assistance with my rent due to my husband loosing his job, and I was able to apply for assistance and receive the funds within a timely manner. I currently contribute to the making lives better fund and will continue because I see how much of a help they was for me when I needed it and I want to be able to give back to anyone else family when in need. I just want to say Thank You again it means so much to me and my family.
I cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for this program. While the program was being introduced at my site I was facing hardship and had my electric shut off. The amount needed to restore service was too much for me to handle, especially since I would also need to replace the food that had went bad. I reached out to several organizations for assistance with no luck. With the holidays around the corner I didn\’t know what I was going to do. I reached out to my manager to advise of my situation who questioned if I had sought assistance from MLBA. I hadn\’t even thought of applying as I had just learned about it a week prior and was so overwhelmed by the issue I was facing. I applied for assistance that day and before the end of the week my electric was back on in time for the holidays. My children had a bright Christmas, literally, and I cannot be more grateful for the assistance received. I thank God for my Alorica family and MLBA, without them this would not have been possible. This program is truly a blessing!
Thank you! Because of all you that helped and those of you that care enough to contribute for those who might need it you all made it so my family was bot put out of our home. recently my girlfriend was put on best rest for a troubled pregnancy so she was out of work for a few months then after our baby was born I had to be run to the ER for an emergency operation and was out of work for recovery. we took a big financial hit because of this and with a new born and two other children in the house I had no idea what we were going to do. But thanks to you I was able to keep a roof over my family’s head… Thank you again!
Thank you for the assistance for my utility bills. They are both in a manageable state as of today neither having a shut off notice. I am truly grateful for this organization as I don’t know what I would have done without the assistance.
Overwhelmed is the only word I can use to describe the way I have been feeling the past four months. I have spent more time in the hospital than I have at home. I have undergone three surgeries this year, dealt with Feeding Tubes, you name it I’ve done or had it. With all that being said my medical bills were mounting up and bill collectors were calling. When I returned to work I happened to be speaking with Jim and he told about Making Lives Better and how the company could assist employees in their time of need. After completing the form I was contacted within days about my situation and it felt like moments later I got a call confirming one of my LARGEST Medical Bills had been paid in full. I truly can’t thank the Company enough for stepping in to give me some relief. Things like this reminds me of why I’ve been here 15 years. We’re family…and family takes care of family.
Life is precious, people are precious, we work side by side people and many times do not really know them or what crisis they are facing. My crisis started on a bright sunshiny Saturday morning just before noon while driving our family van with my 12 year old daughter ( Ashley ), and 5 & 2 year old sons. A driver of a pickup blew through a red light, never slowing down, his vehicle came about 2 feet into the side of our van, rolling us multiple times, we finally came to rest upside down. What came next were hospital stays for our 5 year son, and Ashley our 12 year old was in coma. She never came out of it, she suffered severe head trauma, as she absorbed most of the impact. Grief, numbness, disbelief, emotions running rampant. My work family lifted us up at every turn, people caring and supporting us through many different ways through words, donating time pto, assistance with bills. Caring people truly caring! They were no longer simply people I worked with, but people who truly cared, and were willing to say they cared. I now have the pleasure at work to listen and help others who encounter crisis in their life through our care program. Work is now the place that simply leads us to each other….people helping people that is truly caring!!!
Words cannot express my gratitude towards this caring program. After spending a week in the hospital, a week recovering at home, losing my Grandpa and Uncle, I received a 3 day eviction notice and several overdraft charges!! I couldn’t see any way out!! Because of the help I received from the program I’m not homeless and for the most part have all my bills caught up!! This is a true Blessing and I will be paying it forward!
