MLBA Provides a Hand Up for Mindanao Quake Victims

On Oct. 16, 2019, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake shook south-central Mindanao, the second-largest island in the Philippines. In the month following the quake, more than 8 aftershocks occurred with some magnitudes ranging from 5.0 to 6.6.

Luckily the employees of Alorica Davao site and its MLBA chapter suffered no damages or injuries, but many local communities weren’t so lucky. This was an opportunity for MLBA to serve the harder-hit areas which were in desperate need of assistance.

13 local chapters came together, pooling in more than ₱360,000 to support those left homeless by the disaster.
